Croutons are one of the easiest possible things you could make at home. Got some stale bread lying around? Better make croutons! These babies make a delicious soup even more scrumptious, they take boring salads over the edge, and they make a great snack! The best part is that it takes just 5 ingredients and less than 15 minutes to make!
All you’ve got to do is cut up (or tear, if you’re lazy) the bread and toss it in a bowl with minced chives, olive oil, white wine vinegar, and salt and pepper. Then you spread it out on a baking sheet and bake for just 10 minutes. And there you have it. Croutons, at your service.
You can totally eat them as a snack, but they are a fantastic addition to soups like my King Oyster Mushroom Bisque or Carrot, Leek and Potato Soup. Give them a try today and leave a comment to let me know what you think!
