Cranberry sauce is one of the easiest things in the world to make. It’s hardly even a recipe, really. But often the simplest dishes can be the most delicious, and this tangy cranberry sauce is no exception!
My mum looooves cranberry sauce so I’m going to dedicate this recipe to her. She literally eats it with a spoon. I’ll definitely have to make a triple batch of this one for her. All we have to do is toss some fresh cranberries, orange juice, sugar, salt, and a pinch of allspice in a pot and let it cook down. Cranberries and oranges are a classic pairing, and the allspice just screams Christmas and wintertime.
And really that’s it! You cook it for 10 minutes and there you have it – cranberry sauce in an instant! I’f you’re like my mum, feel free to eat it all on its own, but if you’re not, you probably want to use it as an accompaniment to a main dish. This sauce is absolutely perfect with my Stuffed Seitan Wellington.
I really hope you’ll give this recipe a try! Drop me a line in the comments to let me know how you like it!
